All right. As long as the lady (you know who) keeps using her street language (which is surely her strongest skill) it makes difficult to continue the debate. However I am willing to present some links that may clarify the issues with “The truth hurts” vs “Truth hurts”.

I like this definition from urbandictionary (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?page=2&term=truth) :

I can suggest another piece of advice. Google can provide some assurance as to how accurate your phrase is. Of course it can’t guarantee 100% reliability but it can indicate which version is likely to be correct.
To enhance the reliability of an inquiry I used the advanced US government search(courtesy of Google). I assumed that the samples from the US government sites would be appropriate to our needs.
The results:
I found two results in favor of the lady you know who (Truth hurts). See copy below.

Anyhow,I'm not going to argue with you,it's useless.Why did you not explain to us why is there no mistake in Amigo's expression?

[no article] Japanese was his native language.
[no article] Intelligence is difficult to quantify.

Amigo,well.actually it does!Paid vacations,school vacations,with vacationS I mean not the vacation itself,but a longer period of the time that you spend on your vacation.
Singular you use it when you mean the vacation itself.Family vacation in the mountains and etc.
